Our company organized a two-day trip to Shaoshan on June 20.
First, we visited Dishuidong (Water Drop Cave). Inside, we saw Chairman Mao Zedong’s office, bedroom and bathing room, as well as the bedroom and bathing room of his wife. We also took a group photo at the entrance of Dishuidong.
Next stop was Mao Zedong’s Former Residence. We viewed the original wooden bed and old cooking stove preserved in his childhood house.
Afterwards, we climbed Shaofeng Peak, a tall mountain. We took group photos there and rang the bronze bell on the peak.
We then paid a visit to the tomb of Mao Zedong’s parents, and also toured a scenic spot dotted with huge boulders.
When the trip wrapped up, we headed back to our factory and had a group dinner at Grandma’s Old Spoon Restaurant. We snapped countless group photos throughout the whole journey, filled with constant laughter and cheerful chatter all the way.
